Can i switch from Automation Testing to SAP ABAP

I am having 5 Year of experience as automation tester, currently working on VSTS Automation tools at Capgemini Mumbai and having good knowledge of scripting (c#,vb) so my question is "can i go for SAP - ABAP from here" and if i done SAP-ABAP certification from the recognize institute so can the other company consider my automation testing experience and accordingly offer me the better CTC, because currently i am also getting decent CTC.

Hello

From your post, you have a strong experience in automation testing and your company is big name, you can switch yourself to an ABAP developer if you really have passion on it,  but all automation testing experiences you earned will mean less if you choose ABAP career..
