Hi Saroj,
Having PLSQL & Unix experience is great for multiple domains and specialities. There are technical and functional tracks in SAP, take sometime and see which one you like and would like to pursue. If you want to proceed in technical line because of your previous experience then you may like ABAP or BI + HANA in-memory database.
Good Luck.

Thanks a lot for your response...
I already have 4+ years of exp in plsql and unix. Could you please let me know how to start for ABAP or BO or HANA. Should I go for a training and will this be enough to switch my job to SAP?

Hi Saroj,
I started working as ABAP consultant with no experience in SAP, but I had experience with Java SE, Web technologies, Oracle database and for the first two months it was very hard because I had to read and absorb huge amount of informations and to accept SAP way of doing things..
My point is that if you have that kind of experience, you can very easy step into SAP world as ABAP or BI or even BASIS consultant.
Hope I help you and good luck in your future career.
Best regards,
Vladimir

Hello Saroj,
i am sharing one link where you can start learning SAP ABAP, try to explore that link and find whether you are comfortable with ABAP if you are then nothing is better then this else try with SAP HANA.
All the best

hello all,
Even i've UNIX and PL/SQL 2+ years ofexperience as a DBA. I've completed basic training in SAP BW 7.3, ABAP for generic extractors. Now started working on SAP BO/Lumira.
Hi Saroj,
I found SAP BW very comfortable after having experience in PL/SQL. I tool online training, so that it din't effect my work and also got 24/7 tool access.
But prior to that we need good knowledge in DW concepts, So i installed MSBI in my office system and worked on SSIS and SSRS to understand what is a DW, how reports differ etc.. Difference btw other DW's and SAP DW design. etc.
I started my job search from late September.
Thanks in Adance.
