The query you posted is so generic and I am not sure, what was the question put forth during your interview. In SD, it is very difficult to know all the process and explain during interview. As I took almost more than 100 technical interviews, what I would expect from a profile which shows 2-3 years of experience is in any one of the SD area, the candidate should be comfortable where they are suppose to know the basic business process and basic configuration. I will not expect the candidate to know all the SD process. Of course, your profile should also show the area you are comfortable but predominently, I have seen all beginners would list the entire SD process as if they know those areas also and if the interviewer touches those areas, you would not able to answer which conveys negative signal.
So if you are a beginner in SAP career, just concentrate in any one area, keep practicing with different permutation combinations, make a note wherever you face issue and how you resolve. By doing so, over a period of time, you can face the interview with positive attitude. Dont try to touch all SD areas in the begining stage itself and land up in problem by not learning anything.

Hi,
Unfortunately till the time ,I am working in automotive industries only.In any industry ,what you have to learn is how they are running their business process.Once you know their business process ( business process is nothing but how they are manufacturing or purchasing goods and how they are selling them ) then what you have to think is how to map that business scenario in SAP to run smoothly.
Please check below thread. This is just fyi only
SAP Best Practices for Chemicals
