Hi All,

I am working as ABAP consultant from past 3 years and did associate level SAP certification in ABAP. Now for personal reasons I have to quit my job and go out of country for one year to a place where there are no SAP jobs availabl. Please suggest me what all the accountable courses and certifications that I can do to keep myself in phase with industry and join back after 1 year. Your suggestions would be very helpful.

Can I go for some functional certifications?

Regards,

Anjana Rao

I think Internet is available to you in your new place.

Try to teach ABAP online during weekends ....this will help you keep updated and build basics. Teaching is best lerning tool available.

I will not recommend to go for functional unless you are willing to work as functional consultant in future.

Thanks

If there are academic programs near where you are going, you might look into getting an MBA or something similar. You could try to learn JAVA. As long as there's internet access where you are, you might want to try to get some remote work unless whatever is pulling you out of the country is going to consume all of your time (like a sick relative or something).

Hope this helps!

Best regards,
