Hello All,

I am Business Objects Professional 2.5+ years of experience in BO.

However After SAP-BO Acquisition, I am bit worried about the skillset.

Do you think I should learn SAP BI in order to enhance my BI skills.

Which SAP BI skills would be crucial for a BO professional.

I would really appreciate if someone can help me to clear my doubt and make a decision.

Yup.

In order to remove confusion, the term business intelligence is now associated only with the solutions from the SAP BusinessObjects portfolio.

@Kuldeep Chitrakar : I am thinking the other way actually being a BW consultant.Knowing both is advantage ofcourse

Thanks a lot for clearing confusion about BI?BO/BW.

So now SAP BI means Business Objects.

Anyways!!! Can you you suggest a next SAP skill i should learn (in BI/BW space).

Should I start learning SAP BW. and what all modules i should learn.

Lol.

Its BWA.

@ Kuldeep Chitrakar:

Can you you suggest a next SAP skill i should learn (in BI/BW space).

Three things:

  • SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse (BW)

  • SAP Business Explorer (SAP BEx)

  • SAP NetWeaver BW Accelerator (BWA)

If you are really interested then Integrated planning or the newer BPC ,BCS and some EP knowledge would add value.I have not worked on BO, so if all reporting in future turns to BO then you are master of all.

Hi SAP BI expert,

I am a sales professional, having 4.5 years of experience.

I am learning SAP SD and SAP ABAP at the moment.

After SAP ABAP i was thinking to take SAP BI course as well, kindly suggest me if it will really help me to get into SAP.

Also if it is really required to learn BO with BI now after SAP has acquired BO

your response would be of great help.

Thanks and Regards

Sourabh

Why are you learning so many modules?.Looking ar your profie and experience I think you should presenly concentrate only on SD as it is too big and also as a fresher you will have to demonstrate expertise in any one rather than knowing little bit of all of them.
