Hi
I have some question regarding Bi, BPC, and Fico module.
First, let me tell you about my self. I did my graduation in marketing and management and have MBA degree majoring in Finance. Although I have degree in Finance but I think I don't have much interest in it.
Now I wanted to get some training in SAP module and serious about these three modules.
I did asked about these modules from some consultants and in their opinions BI and BPC have great demand right now and also they told me that I could get BI training it doesn't matter if I don't have IT Background.
What you people think about it. Specially in term of Canada market.
Thanks.

Hello Farhan, I would suggest to go with your strong areas...if you are coming from Finance backgroup then BPC would suit you more than BI, which is more towards technical.
Hope this helps. Thanks

Thanks Rohit for your reply. What do you think if I move to BI first and then BPC?

Farhan, my personal opinion whould suggest you to go with BPC, may be coz of educational background you have, and its wonderful challenging market outside. You anyways will learn bit of BW while practicing BPC. Thanks
PS: please do close this thread if you are good.

Hi Farhan,
I understand your state of mind with respect to interest in Finance, this is something that majority of people do in life i.e. they take a subject that they don't have interest in and then realize that no matter what they do they still don't enjoy that subject. Now, since you have an MBA in finance, when a recruiter looks at your CV he will see that your academic qualification (especially MBA) doesn't match with the other technical module that you have chosen will cloud his/her mind.
Remember, finance is something that no one can escape from, be it a business or a non-profit organization. In my experience I have seen that BI is not difficult to learn and if you have interest in learning BI then you can but the most important thing that you should consider while taking up a subject/training/degree/certification is to see what are the potential opportunities that you would get after completing that training and how much you like it. If you work in a field/domain that you have interest in and you enjoy then you can give your 100% to it, which is very important for everyone.
Let me know if you have any question.
Cheers,

hii,
BI Stand for business Intelligence is Aanalytical, reporting and Data Warehousing solution, its comes under technical.
BPC is Business planning and consolidation which is used to do Financial Planning, Forecasting, Budgeting and consolidation solution.
I will suggest you go for SAP BPC as Functional consultant position which will be perfect.
Cheers
