I am a working and certified SAP B1 Consultant. Few months I cleared and got certified in SAP MM module, due to lack of opportunity in Pakistan I am not working in MM module. But would dearly like to keep it practicing, keep abreast till I end up with the opportunity and learn more and more. Were can I find a practicing module and be able to keep my self updated. Your advice shall be invaluable

Hi,

there are some online ide's but they are not free. By the way I don't know how recruiter will value your experience in a non-real environment. In my opinion certifications should be used to value experience not as an entry strategy... by the way, my compliments for getting certified without a mininum experience in MM! 🙂

Faisal,

For my clarification, SAP B1 is SAP Business One, the entry level ERP that SAP makes, right? So can I assume that you're working in the MM equivalent section of SAP B1? While the experience may not be directly transferable, the experience you are getting in mapping out business processes and consulting with different companies on different requirements and ways of handling MM will be useful, so don't feel like what you're doing now is wasted effort, it's not.

As for practice systems, this is a fairly frequent request, so I've written a blog post about it.

Hope this helps!

Best regards,

Hello Thomas,

Thank for a comprehensive response and yes SAP B1 is the miniature version of SAP ERP.
