Hi,
I am a btech graduate, I started my career as a ABAPER and am having 3.7 years experience in the same. Now i am trying to switch to sap fico . For this i was internally trained in FICO . And in my org. I have just started to work as a functional consultant.
Just wanted to know whether this step is correct one or not. I am currently having a very good offer with an IT giant , with a mouth watering hike. But there the role will be that of an abaper , and I dont think they will give me the scope to switch to functional area.
Just wanted to know, what would be better, to stay in current org and build and hone my fico consulting skills or to move to another org, as an abaper, with a much better hike.

Hi,
Its well known fact that moving to functional areas demand expert level knowledge and experience in the domain.
As a btech graduate evaluate your command over business finance and accounting before thinking of becoming FICO consultant....
I dont think ABAP FICO application development can give enough maturity on business processes in the vast area of costing and other business functions....
Thanks and regards
Arjun

Take your own decision, Each area in SAP has its own importance importance.
Switch to the areas in which you are very feasible to work.
