Run With Purpose Challenge: SAP's Vision is my Passion

Who am I?            

I am a recent graduate of Bryan College and of the SAP Sales Academy. I went to my small College in TN looking for a

faraway adventure.  Not only was I able to experience a new part of the United States, throughout my time at school I was also able to travel around Italy, Ireland, and Inner city Philadelphia for both study and volunteer projects. It was during my travels that I discovered that I have a passion for people and for making the world a better place.

In my senior year of school I was working at Starbucks and finishing business classes when I heard about the SAP sales academy from a family friend. It was exciting to think about the prospect of working at a global company, so to learn more I watched a YouTube video which ended with SAP’s vision “to help the world run better and improve people’s lives.” I instantly knew that SAP was without a shadow of a doubt where I wanted to work.

What makes me Run with a Purpose at SAP?

Now one year after my acceptance into the Sales Academy and 6 months after starting at SAP, I still know that SAP is without a shadow of a doubt where I want to work.

During the Sales Academy I learned the tools I needed to go into sales at SAP. I built a solid network, practiced presentation skills, shadowed seasoned sales executives, and gained the confidence I needed to step into a sales role at SAP. Every day in the academy I worked my hardest and ran with purpose because I knew that I preparing for a job that would give me ample opportunities to help my customers.   

Now after graduating from the sales academy, I am so excited to say that I am an Account Executive in healthcare. Not only am I in a booming industry surrounded by a fantastic team, I am also able to sell SAP’s healthcare solutions, solutions that help hospitals run better and save lives.

I run with purpose at SAP because I am part of the entire SAP team working “to help the world run better and improve people’s lives.”
