The past few years have been a rollercoaster ride for both individuals and businesses, with the COVID-19 pandemic bringing unprecedented challenges and changes. One group that has faced particularly difficult times is people managers, who have had to navigate the new normal while leading their teams through uncharted territory.
For those who became managers during the COVID years, the challenges have been even more daunting. Adapting to remote work, managing teams virtually, dealing with uncertainty, and the constant changes due to the business impact have taken a toll on the resilience of many leaders. As a result, there is a growing need to address resilience in people managers to ensure they can lead effectively in challenging times.
In response to this growing need, a program called "Lead with Resilience" has been designed in India by the regional Coaching Ambassadors in collaboration with Shwetha Mohanty, Head of HR, SAP in India. This coaching-centric program aims to enable managers to lead with resilience, helping them bounce back from setbacks, respond to adversity with strength and speed, adapt to disruptive changes, and sustain their energy under pressure.

The program provides an opportunity for managers to reflect upon their experiences and identify and address blind spots that may be hindering their ability to lead with resilience. It encourages a solution-based thought process when dealing with challenges, and helps develop emotional resilience to perceive challenges without giving in to negative sentiments.
The Lead with Resilience program includes:
1. 6 coaching sessions, where participants will work with experienced coaches to develop their resilience as leaders.
2. Hot seat sessions where senior leaders share their personal stories of resilience, providing valuable insights and inspiration.
3. Experiential Workshops such as Coachable Moments, Ready for Difficult Conversations, and Resilience Circles offer practical tools and techniques for building resilience.
4. Shadowing sessions allow participants to observe their coaches in team-specific meetings, providing a unique learning opportunity.
5. Networking lunches, providing a chance to connect with leaders, coaches, and peers, fostering a supportive and collaborative environment.
To ensure the effectiveness of the program, before and after ripple surveys are conducted to assess the impact of the program, and a leaderboard encourages participants to actively engage and participate.
The minimum requirements to complete the program include 4 coaching sessions, 2 reflective journals, an SDI assessment, 2 hot seat sessions, and 2 workshops.
In conclusion, the Lead with Resilience program offers a comprehensive and practical approach to developing resilience in people managers. In a time when resilience is more important than ever, this program provides the necessary
