In last blog, I introduced the history and development of SAP Labs in China. I will give more details about the work and life at SAP Labs China, e.g. the solution and products innovated and developed at SLC, the employee lifes at SLC and etc.

Life at SAP Labs China

SAP is a caring employer encouraging employees’ work-life balance at all time. Actively supported by Labs China colleagues, there are nearly 20 clubs at SLC, which cover topic of soccer, basketball, chess, dance, Taichi, Yoga and etc.

Corporate Social Responsibility of SAP Labs China

SLC has been very active in China’s society and communities.

NGO IT Management – SLC has leveraged the expertise from SAP volunteers to provide consultancy to 30+ NGOs.

Donation - Since 2007, SLC has donated or supported:

• 2 hope schools in Sichuan and Yunnan Province
• 1 orphanage
• 2 migrant labor schools
• SAP software to 1 NGO
• Money for people in rural China and SAP employees

Total amount reaches CNY 2 million+

Boxes of Love

• Starting from 2009
• SLC’s employees prepare or donate boxes filled with cookies, candies for orphans in rural China.
• Some volunteers delivered the boxes to orphanages in person.

3000+ boxes were collected and 1500+ employees participated

Hiking for An Egg

• Starting from 2011
• Hike 50km in one day to promote the program
• Donate money for underprivileged kids with one egg a day to supplement diet
