Our journey began in April 2024 when we initially launched the new “Preventative KBAs & Notes” card in SAP for Me (original blog) delivering preventative solutions for SAP S/4HANA Cloud systems via an AI-based solution recommendation service. The card has now transitioned into a fully fledged application and has been repositioned to the ‘Overview’ area of the Service & Support dashboard in SAP for Me (Going live April 23rd).

You will continue to get your proactive solutions through the new ‘Live Preventative Recommendations’ application for the systems you are interested in but with improved usability, filtering capabilities and a more accurate AI recommendation service. These proactive recommendations will help you minimize disruptions, react immediately, and anticipate and mitigate potential risks for your software solution landscape.

Additional enhancements include:

  • Thumbs Up/Thumbs Down customer feedback loop enables customers to provide direct feedback with one click and assists the AI recommendation service to rank recommended preventative support solutions per customer system.
  • The ‘Software Product’ is now available for all recommended support solutions, helping customers refine recommendations to the products they are interested in.
  • Our AI recommendation service has been further improved to provide even more targeted solutions to your system/software landscape.
  • Preventative support solutions are clustered by system for easier navigation and refinement of solutions.
  • Integration of ‘Critical’ support solutions to our AI service.

Where to find it?

To access the proactive solutions, go to ‘Services & Support’ dashboard > ‘Overview’ tab > ‘Live Preventative Recommendations’ launch card.

If you have previously used the ‘Preventative KBAs & Notes’ card, your system selection will be transferred to the application.

If it is your first visit, KBAs & notes for your favourite systems are automatically listed, provided you have marked ten or fewer systems as favourites. If you do not have favourites, then you can simply use the filter to select the systems you are interested in.

For your next visit, the card shows available preventative, critical, hot, and trending solutions for the systems that you had previously selected.

Refining your solutions

  • For each system in your list, click the respective column header to sort the list by NumberTitleTypeCategory, Software Product, Component or by Alert Date (the point in time when the KBA or note was identified as hot, trending, or preventative).
  • Use the filters Systems, Software Products, Components, Types or use Search to narrow the list of KBAs or notes down to the ones you are most interested in.
  • If your S-user is associated with a company in a global corporation, select one of your subsidiaries from the Customer dropdown.
  • Choose the 3-dot menu, then Export, to down12load the table to a local XLSX file on your computer.

What’s next?

  • We will continue to enhance the AI recommender service with new data models to achieve greater relevancy & accuracy of preventative solutions.
  • A key task on our road map is to expand the AI services to cover multiple products (Please note, as of today, the type preventative solutions are only available for SAP S/4HANA Cloud). Critical, hot and trending are applicable for all products.
  • Add further filtering capabilities to help you further refine your solutions.
