Hello,

My name is Luana and I am a Brazilian woman living in Portugal. I’ve graduated in journalism in my hometown but since I moved to Europe with my family, 7 years ago, I never had an opportunity to work in my graduation field.
As time passed I noticed how hard it was to professionally reintroduce myself in a foreign country working with communication. So I decided to change my career and a saw a great opportunity to give a better life to my family as a SAP consultant.
Although I’ve being studying a lot, I know that the certification would make a great difference to find a job. That’s the reason why I am applying for this opportunity to get the voucher.
Thanks a lot.

kind regards,

Luana Amaral

Hello @David_Chaviano,

Thank you so mụch for this blog. But after I registered SAP account, when I tried to access to join a group for beginners to SAP, system informed that: "You do not have sufficient privileges for this resource or its parent to perform this action." So, I can't comment in your blog "Digital Skills Initiative Applicant Guide (For self-study candidates)"

I'm a SAP MM Functional Consutant (S4 HANA) from Vietnam. I've been working in SAP fields for 3 years now. I have knowledge on SAP S4 HANA Sourcing and Procurement but not certified.

I identified as a person for this certification because I am a women, single, first generation college graduate in my family, people in remote or underserved locations that may be not have access to the same economic opportunities as their urban or more privileged counterparts, people looking to switch their careers.

I graduated from university with a major in accounting. But when I learned about SAP, I realized I really love learning and working with SAP because it helps businesses improve their processes and save working time. It's amazing to see how technology can make such a big difference. I want to keep learning and growing in this field to have a great career.

I’ve just completed my learning journey acros "Discovering the Basics of SAP S/4HANA Manufacturing". So I'm eager to take a free certification attempt because I believe it will help me learn more and become even better at what I do. I know that the world of technology is always changing, and I want to stay up-to-date with the latest advancements. I am grateful for this opportunity and excited about the possibilities ahead. Thank you for considering my application for the free certification attempt.

Thanks & Regards,

Hello David,

I tried to find a way to leave a comment on the first post but couldn't. Therefore, I leave a comment on this post hoping you will see and consider my situation.

I am a 22 year old woman who just graduated from college. After graduating, I encountered many difficulties when the Vietnamese labor market had many obstacles for newcomers like me. I was exposed to SAP when I was in my third year of university, and I believe that digital transformation will be a breakthrough in Vietnam in the future when the labor market gradually recovers. I firmly believe that achieving SAP certification will promote my career development and bring me attractive job opportunities in the future.

Thank you for this wonderful opportunity,

Thao.

Good day, David

I am a woman and a first-generation college graduate in Logistics and Supply Chain. My educational journey has equipped me with a strong understanding of the complexities and demands of the logistics and supply chain industry. As part of my professional development, I have already earned a SAP ERP Fundamentals certification, which has provided me with a solid foundation in the SAP ecosystem and enhanced my ability to manage and streamline business processes effectively.

I am now seeking to upskill myself further and enhance my career by pursuing additional SAP certifications. The digital skills initiative by SAP Learning offers a unique opportunity for me to deepen my knowledge and expertise in this field. I am eager to embrace this challenge, as I believe it will significantly advance my career prospects within the SAP ecosystem and enable me to contribute more effectively to my organization and the broader industry.

My email is nthubugomolemo@outlook.com

Thank you

Faith

Hi David:
I am very interested in the digital skills initiative as a self-study candidate.  I am currently unemployed/not working, and want to take the opportunity to add an SAP certification to my skillset/credentials.

I couldn't figure out how to verify that I can receive private messages.  There is no explanation I can find anywhere that points me to that option. There are so many pages to go through.  Hopefully, you can respond to me with the needed invite, so I can start learning and working toward certification asap.  I am not sure, which path would be best, since I am a complete novice, but I feel that I would be most at home in the Finance area, since I have a Bachelors in Accounting.

I am a woman, and also tick most of the other boxes you listed in your post, such as:

  • People who are physically disabled or neurodivergent
  • People in remote or underserved locations that may be not have access to the same economic opportunities as their urban or more privileged counterparts
  • First generation college students
  • People looking to switch their careers mid-life

    Thank you kindly.

    Susanne

Hi @David_Chaviano

I am interested in registering for the Digital Skills Initiative. I followed your post and tried to join the beginner's corner group. Unfortunately it pops up an error "Node was not found". I'm afraid that I might miss the opportunity to register for the Digital Skills initiative because of this technical issue that does not allow me to join groups. Also there is a deadline to express interest before Nov 4th 2024. I do not want to miss this opportunity.

Hence I would like to express my interest here.

A bit of context about my background - I'm an experienced Supply chain professional with a decade experience in SAP MM. Recently I moved to Germany into a new role as SAP MDG consultant during my mid-life career. I am the first woman in my family to graduate in Engineering and Business administration. Currently I'm expecting a child, which may leave a career gap due to maternity leave. I would like to use this Digital Skills initiative effectively to manage the break wisely by learning more about SAP and getting a certification.

I have already registered with a SAP account with my mail id [[MOD NOTE: Removed personal email address for violating rules of engagement]]
Also private messaging option is not visible to me. So I’m afraid how will I be notified for the registration link for digital skills initiative.

Marie_Therese_Jenifer_L_0-1720828598425.png

Hoping to be part of the digital skills initiative.

Thanks in advance.
