On November 13th we run SAP Technology Day at Turkish German University (TGU) together with colleagues from Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv.
Dr. Önder Tombuş, coordinator of SAP programs at TGU, opened the Event, presented the Agenda and guests from SAP and Mercedes-Benz.
This Event started with Signing Ceremony - Turkish GermanUniversity joined SAP University Alliances program.
Vice Rector of TGU Prof. Dr. A. Gökhan Yavuz and SAP Turkey Pre-sales and Solutions Director Tuna Atmaca greeted faculties, students and guests of the Event.
They described new opportunities for Turkish German University via access to SAP University Alliances learning resources, global network of leading Universities - members of SAP University Alliances, and possibilities for the students to find interesting jobs with SAP skills at SAP Turkey, client and partner organizations such as Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv.

SAP: “SAP University Alliances program: learn and innovate with SAP” by Dr. Igor Belousov, VP Digital Learning and Country Manager for Turkey, Italy, MCC@CEE at SAP University Alliances
Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv: “Job opportunities for the students in Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv’s Tech Hub Mercedes-Benz Tech Türkiye. Careers at Mercedes-Benz Tech Türkiye with SAP knowledge” by Burcu Akmansayar, SAP Service Delivery & Operations Unit Manager, and Levend Öke, Service Management & Operation Service Unit Manager
Students of TGU actively participated to the Event, asked many questions to managers of SAP and Mercedes-Benz. Group of students involved to Mercedes-Benz training program Drive Up with SAP-focused modules shared with the audience their impressions.
After the main Event we had in-depth Workshop with faculties of Turkish German University, SAP University Alliances, SAP Turkey and Mercedes-Benz Tech Turkey colleagues on aligning SAP learning programs in University with Mercedes-Benz requests, including tailored SAP courses and SAP next-gen projects for students on the SAP-related challenges offered by Mercedes-Benz.
Participants pointed out that this model of cooperation creates additional motivation for the students to learn SAP solutions - they will directly use SAP knowledge to solve real business-requested cases and will be exposed as the candidates for the jobs at Mercedes-Benz Otomotiv and SAP ecosystem in Turkey.
