What are the possible options to action/remediate on the basis of information provided by the Job/Automation Monitoring ?

For example based on an alert can we trigger a call to an API (Custom/Standard) which can take an action based on the alert information.

Are there any examples/ use cases related to these ?

Yes, you can use operations automation to trigger further downstream activities, you can also trigger 3rd party ticket creation, see below link for details
