Hi group,
I am trying to pass some fields values to text file(not on application server)on local desktop using write statements.its not tab delimited ,I need to give spaces between the field not exactly same(some times its 2 spaces and some times t spaces).Please suggest.

Make an internal table with one field type char of 300 positions. Concatenate fields in this row separated by '#', then use TRANSLATE field using '# ', and donwload the table.

Hi swabap,
0You can try an abap utility for tab i.e.
CL_ABAP_CHAR_UTILITIES => HORIZONTAL_TAB.

HI Group,
I created Ztable and in the program I define the internal table structure same as ztable and passed
the values to internal table,how to pass this in to
file (local desktop not application server),also I need
to give the spaces which are tab delimited.in GUI_DOWNLOAD its only owrks if I need tab delimited,please suggest

Alternative method, where by you split fields at each TAB after you
have returned the data. No point unless you dont have access to
