Write complete package with CDS to transport

Hello together,

I want to transport all objects from a package. Usually I used the procedure out of SE80:

SE80 -> Create Transport entry -> All objects

Now we have CDS view in an pakage and get the following error message.

"TK758 - Objekt R3TR STOB XYZ gehört zu einer DDL-Source - kein Transport möglich"
"TK758 - Objekt R3TR VIEW XYZ gehört zu einer DDL-Source - kein Transport möglich"

I.e. if CDS have views in a package there is no more possibility to write all objects of a package to a transport?

That would be stupid.

Best Regards
Uwe

Hello Uwe,

You can transport the DDL source, but not the view itself. The view is automatically generated on the target system. The DDL Source is the file that contains the definition of the view. You can put the DDL Source on the same transport as your other objects.

There is a KBA on this subject - 3256259 - How to transport a CDS view

  • Find DDL source name with SE11
  • Transport source R3TR DDLS <source name>

Thanks for the response.

But my question was why I could not use the functionality of SE80 --> Add all object to an transport*

Is it an error maybe of an old Netweaver release?

*if not possible without CDS Views
