Why a specific type of object for ABAP daemons? (R3TR DMON)

My question is not about ABAP Daemon concept, it's more about curiosity.

I just saw this type of object in Eclipse ADT (ABAP 7.57).

What is it for? (except classic assignment to package/transport request)

What is the type application/system?

What are other usage?
