hello,

i tried to get F1 help on the following, but i did not understand it, pls. let me know the exact/practical usage/differences between the two,

(1)- when we create a custom table, we have to choose either 'Standard routine' or 'User defined routine' under table maintainenec generator, pls, let me know when i have to choose either option?

(2) and is there any inter corelation between this option and the options under Technical settings of the table (like, table maintance allowed, table maintaince is allowed with restrictions, maintainenne not allowed)

(3) is there any inter corelation between (2) and chossing option of either 'Application table' / 'Custom table' category from the drop down?

thank you

Hereunder is the answer to your questions:

If you select "no or user recording routine, you do not have to provide a transport request when you maintain your table using SM30 whereas if you select "standard recording routine', you will need a TR to maintain the table in SM30.

(2) and is there any inter corelation between this option and the options under Technical settings of the table (like, table maintance allowed, table maintaince is allowed with restrictions, maintainenne not allowed)

Under "Delivery and Maintenance tab", you select Data Browser/Table View Maint as

"N, Display Maintenance Not Allowed" --> Can't see the table contents and will not be able to maintain obviously.

"Display Maintenance Allowed with Restrictions" --> Can see the contents but will not be able to maintain

"Display/Maintenance Allowed" --> Can see the contents and maintain in SM30 as well

So, if you want your maintenance view to work you know what option to select now.

(3) is there any inter corelation between (2) and chossing option of either 'Application table' / 'Custom table' category from the drop down?

All the "Delivery Classes ('A', 'C'...etc) have a self-evident description. Please read them carefully.
