What is downtime in TR move into production?

What is downtime for moving TR objects into production system.. Can any one please explain me full details.

It is a BASIS question

Usualy the TR import on production server runs the night when nobody work.

The time depends of the number of TR imported, the content of the TR and the capacity of the system.

If you import in production system you could have error especialy for workbench object, the error will raise a dump. You could read the documentation of Mr matthew.billingham :

and the dump is LOAD_PROGRAM_LOST
