hello Gurus, how are you today? I hope you all always be fine and healthy

Gurus could you help me and satisfy my curiosity about BAPI_SALES_ORDER_SIMULATE?

what I want to know is how does this function module works, what tables does it uses, and this function module doesn't store any data in any tables which it uses right?

fyi, I've used this function module to simulate sales order data so I can reenact "checkout or validating order" before I create sales document using BAPI_CREATE_SALES_ORDER and as far as I know this function module gives us sales document number without making any sales document in VBAP or VBAK.
