HI ,

For this , first delete the object which is locked in the request .

Like if the request contains a report . First delete the report through se38 and then try to delete the request object .

Hope then it will allow to delete the lock object and also request .

I have 100 objects in that transport request and i need just 3-4 of them to be retained and rest to be deleted. So deleting the rest is a strenous task !! Any alternative, easy way ??

Check the package of all the objects and if it is same go to SE80 and remove them.

The message what you are getting might be a warning message. You can delete the entry from the request. It will exist in Repository.

You can check the same in SE80. If it is removed from the repository, it wont exist.

Well in this case ,

Change the package of the objects which you want to retain .

Open the object in SE80 , Right click -> Other function -> Change package assignment . Make them as local and then again assign in some new request .

Hope this will be easier.

Hi,

U have to delete the objects from the TR from lower level i.e from object level to subtask.

Place the cursor on object u want to delete and click on delete.

If u get the popup Delete locked objects press Yes it will delete.

Make sure that u r not in change mode of that object. U can come out of change mode or explicitly delete the lock in SM12 transaction=>List=>Place the cursor on object and delete.

Thanks,

Vinod.

Do you want to 1) just unlock the objects in the transport or 2) actually delete the objects?

If 1), I can point you to program RSWBO099, which should be handled very carefully. Have a look.

Thanks Thomas. I dont want to physically delete the objects.

I just want to remove the entry from the transport.

Hi There.

I suggest you to,

Go to SE03 ---> Unlock Objects (Expert tool)

I would also like to suggest you a couple of references,

[SDN - Reference for unlocking Transport request|;

[SDN - Reference for Unlocking Transport Objects|;

Hope that's usefull.

Good Luck & Regards.

Thanks Harsh, in the post u gave the URL, it says

Go to SE03, and the choose unlock objects in a request, specify your request number (and the tasks in it). Click on execute,

But I am not able to find any option such as "unlock objects in a request" in the left panel !!

This option exists only in 4.6 , and is missing in ECC 6.0 !!!

what to do ???

thks

Hi,

Select the Transport Object,

1. Sort and compress from the menu

Now you try to delete it should get deleted...

If the hint is usefulu2026 Say thanks by rewardu2026.

No Prabhu, it still says objects are locked and hence cannot be deleted !
