Unable to create entries in Z table

Hi,

I have created a Z table with 5 fields including the client field. Only for the client field the key and initial value check boxes are marked. I have also created the table maintenance generator and in delivery and maintenance the option display/maintenance allowed is chosen.

Even then I am unable to create the entries in the table.

Please, provide a solution for this.

If the primary key is composed only of the client column, you'll be able to create only one entry, because a primary key is unique, by definition. Mark other columns as part of the primary key, so that to allow the input of several entries.

I have marked the plant field as key field. I have activated it and tried to create the entries. But it is not allowing me. It is showing that " No entries exist " message

Hi,

Follow the below steps to create entries into the table. Go To table contents in Utilities. Click on Create entries.

Are you trying to add entries through SM30 ?

Hi,

Are you getting below screen ?. On this screen New Entries option is there. Click on it. Then you will be able to create entries.

Even though table maintenance is not generated, you can create entries from SE16. Try to create entries from SE16.

I think nobody understands your situation if you don't describe in details. Please show screen by screen what menu or button you press and what you get.

Remember that you:

• must regenerate your dialog each time you do a change to your table
• can enter data only in client open to edit customizing (if you're allowed to enter customizing in any other table, it means it's OK)
• must be authorized (check SU53 if any error)

Thank you so much for ur reply.

I've marked the last field as key field in the table and before that there were non-key fields. So, I think that caused the error.

Now It is working fine.
