Translation issue with subject line in SAP workflow

Client has a requirement of changing the subject line to German and English based on the useru2019s language (from IT 0002).

So we have set up the mail in workflow in such a way that based on the language we get the subject line(from the business object ) and then bind the subject line in the mail workitem text .

This binding is working perfectly when the logon language is English but when the logon language becomes German the variable is coming as the output.

On a detailed analysis we found that , all the cases which are failing the workitem language is DE and the workitem text is coming as the variable.

It would be great if you can help us in this ,If you have any solution or if you have faced such issues during your development.

We have already tried this solution but its not working.

I think the translations are workflow version-dependent. Did you restart a new workflow instance so that to use the latest version which has the German translation?

By the way, do you use the basic mail functionality, or the extended notification? And did you have a look at SAP notes?

Hi Bonny,

if you have translated the work item text in German but it doesn't appear in German, then it must be a bug, you should contact SAP support.
