Dear All
We are having around 25 locations in different cities. We have our R/3 server at main office connected to all the locations. We are facing lot of problems like networking etc. We want to use localized server at all the locations and transfer the data at the end of the day to the main server.
Is this possible ? If yes what is the landscape we should follow ? What are the pros. & cons. of the same ?
Thanks in advance.

Hi Anil,
In at nutshell, NO that is not possible. It is definately not recommended by SAP for an R/3 only implementation. Your SAP system response time is highly dependant on the robustness and availability of the Wide Area Network for the front-end AND for the Local Area network for the back-end Central Instance-to-Application server. Your companies money should spent on getting a robust, highly available network, rather than trying to sub-diviide an very integrated Central Instance to Application server configuration. The CI and Ap servers MUST be on the same LAN for dependable response time.

Technically it´s possible to do that use e. g. ALE techniques or XI but it´s a HUGE amount of work to keep the master data in sync over all systems and with your central system.
I would follow the suggestion of the previous poster - use a central system and get better connections.
