Submit Report with STRTIMMED as ABAP_TRUE shows as Scheduled in SM37

Hello,

Trying to figure out why a report that I SUBMIT from ABAP, with JOB_CLOSE parameter STRTIMMED set to ABAP_TRUE is showing up in SM37 as Scheduled.

Anyone encounter this before?

Can you post your relevant code,

• Another parameter can trigger some problem,
• How did you handle exceptions and returned parameter job_was_released?
• Is your code similar to Sample Program: Immediate Start with JOB_CLOSE
• Does SU53 display some authorization failure

I found the problem. The user id was not authorized to do a release of the job.

Ok, so authorization failure in SU53 and parameter job_was_released not set.
