Steps to create STO using ME21N transaction

Hi,

Can anyone give me the steps to follow to create STO using ME21N transaction. When i try to create it, i am getting the error message : Not possible to determine shipping data for material 3863...

Please guide me...

Hi

STO is nothing but one type of Purchase order that will be created using ME21N tcode like other types of PO's.

Go to EKKO and EKPO tables

enter EKKO-BSART = 'EUB' or 'UB'

take the old data of one of the order from EKKO and EKPO and create the STO with that data. like plant, shipping point etc.

STO, means u r moving the material from one plant to another plant .. going thru the error it syays that "The material is not existing in the destination plant".

by the way .. r manually creating the STO or have u written some program.

select the std sto order type "UB" in ME21N

& u have to give the proper details for the shipping plant ... details like shipping type .. stock type ... shipping plant ...

Do u have any idea on where to enter the shipping details? I am getting the error message Not possible to determine shipping data for material XYZ...

In the item details , there is a tab called "Delivery" ..... here u can give the shipping details....

also ... check out with ur MM consultant ,,, he can guide uuu... for more further details....

I got the same error it was because in customizing you specify plant master data that is linked to a customer master record. You need to make sure the customer master data is set up from a sales perspective. E.g. customer must be extended to appropriate sales org. and division. Same with the material master but the customer master was my problem. This is configuration and you will have to move it through the transport queue so if you have a problem in your production system it will require a transport.
