Hi all,
I am creating smartforms for a Zebra TLP2844-Z printer. There is no problem creating the forms.
In printing I have setup a command for the darknes using the S_LZPL_SETUP_MD set to 30, with single quotes. Problem is that the print seems to be very faint. I have also manually confgured the printer with the same result.
Any ideas would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
- Ronan

Hi Ronan,
The SmartForms driver for Zebra printers was developed by SAP and works with all printers that support the ZPL command language.
These printers also support Unicode, but only UTF-8. Some special fonts are required to enable printing Unicode and these may not be available on all ZPL printers. The main exception to this rule is the desktop printer LP2844Z, TLP2844Z, and TLP3844Z. This is because you can not add the PCMCIA font card.
However we do have some central European Unicode fonts that are free of charge that can be downloaded to any ZPL printer.
I hope this clarifies the Zebra printer support in SmartForms.
<b>Check the catridge of the printer :)</b>

Hi,
I have uploaded the code page 850 Zlzeb2.pri. I followed the smartforms document "Barcode Label Design and Printing from mySAP Business Suit via SmartForms" from July 12th 2007.
I can print to the printer from the Zebra designer and get good darkness on the printout but just not from SAP. I can see the text being printed but it is too faint, I need to get it darker.
My address is ronan.balfe@clients.ie

Hi Ronan,
If you are printing from local printer you need to setup the properties of the printer in the advance tab . Click the printing default button -> document options ->change the configuration to use printers settings.
This should solve your problem..
