hi,

I have a smartform Which i did create for leser printer is there any option to take printout of same smartform by DOt Metix printer with tray feeding of paper i want to use Epsons dot metrix printer.

plz solve my prob

Hi Pawan,

once u make the settings in SPAD ( like setting the Front End printer to print... including the printers in the device types..), u may use any printer to print ur sapscript/smartform...

Declare your epson printer in SPAD.

Hi Pawan,

The system will automatically take the printer that is selected as default printer in the control pannel. So you can change the default printer in the PINTERS AND FAX option of CONTROL PANNEL and try it.

follow these steps.

Execute TCODE : SPAD.

go to outputdevices tab.

press output device button .

press button 'create using templete' by selecting the default printer .now in your 'SPOOL ADMINISTRATION OUTPUT DEVICE ' define your EPSON Printer into device type(take care of nos of pins as more than one epson printers might be available.so determine the pins in your printer ,printer model and select the appropriart printer).

SAVE IT and use this name instead of original one .your printout will be directed to epson printer.

as per your requiremnet, i dont think there should be any problem to take printout in the dot matrix printer.

besically we took the test printout in the dot matrix printer and than you can go for any kind of printer, and if there is any kind of problem than you can consult your basis guy to solve the issue.
