setting value to one field based on another selected field

Hi All,

How can i set a value to one field ( Date ) based on selection of another field? Can it be done by field exit?

if it is so explain me.

Hi,

Yes. You can make use of field exits. But first you have to make sure that both are input fields and field exits trigger only upon some action. So in case the fields you are talking about are in separate tabs then you need to select the tab explicitly to trigger the field exit.

Make use of program RSMODPRF to create field exits or go to CMOD and give PRFB in the command prompt line to create field exits.
