Send HTML email with XLS attachement

Hello everyone. I'm trying to send an html email in the body with Xls in the attachment. Can someone give me a direction, please?

Are you sure you want .XLS? It is pretty old format. Excel is using .XLSX since 2007.

To send e-mail explore cl_bcs class. And to create XLSX file you can look on ABAP2XLSX on GitHub.

Hi Andrea. I tried to do this but didn't find anything exactly for my case. It's the first time I've tried to do something like this. In SCOT it appears correctly, but when I receive the email it goes without body.

Searching needs a sufficient knowledge in the technology around the searched information, probably you didn't ask the right question to the search engine.

The forum is full of questions/answers about html / email / excel. Search independently. First HTML, and second Excel.

Also you should look for the meaning of "xls", it can be many things. Also what mean the few major Excel formats, and what are the file extensions for (with regards to Windows/Excel).

Please clarify.
