Good evening to all,

Good evening to all,

I need to send mail from SAP system to external email id ( example id:  xxx@gmail.com).   I tried some forum threads but no use..Can any one help me ...????

Also i want to configure SMTP in Tcode SCOT...

I cant able to get where i doing mistake...Can anyone guide me.....??????

Your Basis team should handle the SCOT/SOST setup.  Questions about email have been asked and answered many, many times.  If you search the forums, you will find many posts that I have done, advising the poster to review the SAP email demonstration programs, which will cover virtually everything you will ever need to handle in SAP.  These programs are named like BCS*, and utilize the current email technology in SAP, BCS, and the associated class CL_BCS methods.  For a programmer, these are simple and easy to understand and write.  Start with a review of the BCS*-named programs.
