Selection Screen painter

Hi.

I have created selection screens (SE51) and custom transactions in system DEV and all is working fine.

Now when i transport this to QA system The transport is showing that it is successfull(GREEN in STMS).

BUT when i see the selection screen it has not been updated and all is same and old.

Can you tell me what needs to be done, inorder to transport to overwrite and update.

The transport log says its overwritten and update.

Please give me a solution to this.

Hello:

Has the screen been activated? Try activating it. Or if that is not the case, you may want to exit out of the client and re-log back in.

It sounds like one or more transports did not go, or they went out of order. You can correct this by changing the program and creating a new transport and then sending that.

But you might also check to see if anything else was missed.

The transport has gone in now. But some fields like version is giving me an error "Invalid field format (screen error)" when i select 110 from it.

BUt this error is not there in DEV ?

Sounds to me that there might be another dependency that did not get transported up. Check to see there are other screen dependencies that are in Development that might need to be moved up. Perhaps the dependency is on another CTS or a localize object. Just unhook that from the other CTS and transport that to the QA box.

Surprising, when i went to SE80 -> Program and then right click activate.

and then went back to that selection screen. It activated the old screen as if no transport came in and overwritten it.

That mean i need to transport the new selection screen again

and then -> set the system to modifiable (BASIS) -> manually activate the selection screen and then go to se80 -> program and activate the whole program.

Make sense ?

Yes, just retransport, but make the all objects are activated before you release the CTS task.
