Is there any option to increase Select-Options: input more than 45 characters length

Yes, but you'll have to wait for NW release 7.31...

I had a similar issue, just a week ago.

While searching for a solution I found this: http://www.sapfans.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=310754

But did not get to implement it, since I could not get a sign-off for a separate program creation from the client. Alternatively it was also decided that we did not need a range of values on the selection screen for that field.

So went for Parameters instead. But you could try the solution given in the link.
