Hi expertieeeees...

As in tcode AS02...

search help is thr for Asset.....and it displays some fields...

I want to add some more fields to be displayed in tht display list...

Please help me wht to do ...

some says use Search help exit...

Plz guide me...

Hi Rahul,

You have to modify collective search help AANL which you we can modify without any Access key but you didnot write here that in which tab you want to add one more field. I am assuming that you want to add one more field in in Tab 'Names and Classes' so These Tab 'Names and Classes' comes under elementary search help AANLA. Now go to this search help. then go into change mode add your field there and activate it. Your Problem is solved. If you wanted to add the field in some other tab then decide the tab by pressing F4 and check the tab name then corresponding elementary search help you can find from collective search help AANL.

Now I hope your Problem is solved.

on this Asset number thr is search help....in tht search help i want to add new fields...

Hi,

You have to modify the AANL search help. If you click on included search help then, it will show available saerch helps, create you elementary search help and assign the same here. if you wan to existing one then select the relevant help and add the field you want, but the fields should have common key between them

Hi,

I have allready replied to your query. I know that you want search help for Asset field what i asked is when you get search help just see you have diffrent Tabs on search help screen so if you want field to be added in 'Name and Class' tab where allready field 'Company Code' 'Asset Class' 'Description etc are there so if you want your field to be added here Then just do what i have allready written here otherwise if there is some other Tab like 'Cost centre' or "inventory No' etc then in that case you simply find out it's coreeponding elementary search help for collective search help AANL. and inside that elementary search help add your new field. I hope it's clear Now.

hi Tanweer Z.

I am getting this error ...while activating aanla....

"Search help parameter LANLN1 does not occur in the selection method"

The error you are getting is because the field LANLN1 which you want to add doesnt exist in table ANLA which has been used in selection method d M_AANLA which is actually a View. If the field you are adding is from some other table other than ANLA then follow these steps.

1. you copy The view M_AANLA into Z view say Z_M_AANLA.

2. Now in View Z_M_AANLA goto the Tab 'Table/Join Condition' You can see the table ANLA there, Now below the Table ANLA you add the table name which has your custom field. Now Go to "View Flds' Tab and here you will see alleady existing fields Now add your fields here By selecting it through F4.

3. Now In Search help AANLA Replace the Selection Method M_AANLA by your Z view Z_M_AANLA.

4. Now add your field in search help paramaters. Now it will not give you any error message since now the field has been added to the Selection method....

Thanx dear ...

it almost solved the problem.....

in AS02 when i do search help it gives the required fields...

but data or the values of the added fields are repeating again n again....

Please help me with this last problem......

Hi Rahul, It looks like you have not given the Join condition correctly in the Z View which you created after copying Standard View M_AANLA. Go to your Z view i.e Z_M_AANLA(as explained earlier) and in Tab ' Table/Join Condition' check the screen of 'Join condition' which is on the right hand side of 'Tables' Now define here correct Relation ship which you want or else simply click on Relationship and decide what relationship among the fields of both the fields do you want. It will solve the last issue. If you again the same issue or any other issue kindly mention the name of Table and field you want to add here then i will be in better Position to suggest you to fix this small issue.
