SAP Netweaver license

Hi all,

is there a way of using SAP Netweaver in real scenario only as the technology base? I mean if there is a type of license that allows you to develop your own application and use it for business purpose with no ERP, CRM or any other SAP software.I found "sap netweaver foundation for third party applications" but am quite confused as usual when it comes to license. What it actually includes, what are the limitations and how the fees are calculated? Appreciate any answers. Thanx.

Marek

Excerpt from "Licensing SAP Software - A Guide for Buyers", Chapter 2 "Licensing SAP Software", topic "SAP NetWeaver":

If you use SAP NetWeaver in conjunction with “SAP NetWeaver Foundation for Third-Party Applications,” you require one of two available named user licenses for development and administration purposes, specifically:

  • “SAP NetWeaver Developer User”
  • “SAP NetWeaver Administration User”

So you will have to also purchase user licenses. The guide mentions that the SAP MaxDB license is included. For additional information I think you should contact SAP.
