Related to the display of the values stored in the buffer

Hi,

In the standard screens of SAP, such as SE38, SE37, SE11 - when we want to specify a program name / function name / table name - we get the list of names which were accessed recently, when we press the spacebar button.

I guess, it is related to the FOCUS property of the field in the screen. This property is enabled for most of the screens in SAP across modules.

Kindly, share with me, if any of you has information about this property.

Thanks and Regards,

dinesh.

Hi Dinesh,

This is a Feature provided by SAP to view all the acessed tables or any entries made in parameters on a selection screen. SAP maintains a standrad table TPARA in SAP Memory that stores the parameter id of that parameter on the selection screen.

To Be more specific go to the paramater like in se11 database table input box & press F1, look for technical settings u shall find the parameter id for it. This is stored in SAP Memory Table TPARA.

Hope this info may be of any assistance to u ...

Thanks

hi bro....

it is related to parameter id at data element level and the valus are stored in TPARA table....

and set/get are used in standard program to retrieve it.

Set/Get parameter ID

A field can be filled with proposed values from SAP memory using a parameter ID.

Example

A user only has authorization for company code 0001. This company code is stored in memory at the beginning of a transaction under the corresponding parameter ID. Fields that refer to the data element are automatically filled with the value 001 in all subsequent screen templates.

Dependencies

A field in the screen template is only filled automatically with the value stored under the parameter ID of the data element if this was explicitly permitted in the Screen Painter.

Hi,

The Values that you see in the Transactions when you press spacebar button

Is the history of transaction that you have accessed in recent past.It is stored on

local system.Configuration can be can be checked from the :

Icon 'Customized Local Layout' or ALT+F12 shortcut>Options>Local Data.

When you toggle between transaction you see value(No with spacebar) in the

field that you last entered is due to parameter id.

Thanks.
