hi evry one plz help me with this question .

when a program is created & need to be transported to prodn does the selection texts always go with it . ? if not the how do u make sure . ? can we change the cts entries ? how do u do it ?

Rohit,

Normally yes, all the TEXT ELEMENT including the SELECTION TEXTS are also transported. You can look at the tr. request and associated object types, it will be something like REPS, REPT. REPT is for the TEXTS. IF you don't see that go into the texts and do a dummy change and save, then there will be a prompt to save the changes to a tr. request and you can choose the same one as that of the program.

You can even add an entry to the tr. request if you have sufficient authorizations. Go to SE09, type in your request no and go into change mode. It will display the list of objects already attached to that. You can add a new entry by clikcing on the PLUS sign.

Hi Rohit,

If you want to transport program with source code,

texts and gui definitions give PROG in the request.

to do that goto se10 or se09

and create request and give

in the Program ID : R3TR

object ID : PROG

object Name : your program name.

or if you want transport individually then

for source,

Program ID : LIMU

object ID : REPS

object Name : your program name.

for Report texts

Program ID : LIMU

object ID : REPT

object Name : your program name.

for Gui definitions

Program ID : LIMU

object ID : CUAD

object Name : your program name.

you need to enter these entries separatly.

If you need to modify existing request and add new things

then go to se10 tran and open your request in change mode

press create entries sign and enter the entries as I mentioned in the above.
