Query on creating a JOB

Hi Group,

I have created a Job in SM36 and given my program(along with the variant). I scheduled and released, but, the job is not creating any spool and if I try to create a Spool, this spool was not giving the output details of the report.(it was just showing details of the job,and that's it).

if I excute the report, I will get a list of things in the output and that's not visible from the Spool.. and this is my issue.

please kindly let me know your inputs on this.

Hi,

Any Program that was scheduled in Background, Unless it has a write statement it won't generate the Spool.

You have not mentioned anything what type of program was yours?

Hi Anji,

Infact, my program containg the "Write" statement , but still I could not see the things coming into the Spool.

So please give me more inputs on what might have gone wrong in scheduling the Job or some where else.

Hi,

Please check the Printer settings on the SAP Application servers.

May be this printer is missing in Background server.
