????????????????????????????????????????????????????????

What do you mean ???

If you use select * into itab from db_tab ....

Then the performance is not effected.

Performance is affected by the select an by the operations you are doing later with the itab.

Hi

the data will be selected into an internal table

not into the standard table

internal tables are the temp buffer area where we will retrive the data from data base tables and put in internal tables for useing that data in some sitvations

the performance won't be there when your storing the data into internal table

the performance will come only when your retriving data from data base table

suppose if there 1000000 records and your retriving data from database and storing in internal table

at that time the performance problem will occur in select query

so performance won't be there when storing the data in imnternal table

reward if usefull
