OSS note in status "Cannot be implemented"

Hi gurus,

We added custom fields to BSEG table using transaction OXK3 (Coding block fields).

Now we have dumps saying that:

The definition of "MSEG" and "NSDM_V_MSEG" are not consistent however, meaning
that the operation had to be terminated.

We found the SAP note 2686694 that clearly describes this problem, but the note is in status "Cannot be implemented" !

Our version is: S4HANA 1809

Do we have to implement the note manually anyway (Extend the CDS view with the custom fields) ?

You can't implement the note 2686694 as it doesn't provide any fixes, any corrections. It is a consulting note that shows instructs how to solve the inconsistencies.
