no router string in linux

Hi All,

I'm new in abap and trying to use abap in eclipse. I'm using SAP GUI for java 7.20 rev 5, Fedora 18.

I'm able to login using SAP GUI for java with connection string:

/H/xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx/S/3299/H/192.168.1.10/S/3200&clnt=120&expert=true

xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the SAP router.

The problem is when trying to create project in eclipse, SAProuter textbox show empty value. Only Server textbox has 192.168.1.10 value

Does anyone had succeed create project in eclipse with connection that use sap router? Is this a bug?

Thanks.

Hi Awan. Could you solve this? I'm facing the same problem.

Thanx

It seems that the problem remains even for ABAP tools 2.16 path level 5.  I have opened a message to SAP and waiting.. If anyone has found a solution in the meantime, it would be great to share..

I am interested in the solution as well.

I experienced the same problem. I am using SAP GUI for Java rev.7 and ADT 2.19.

I also tried to define the connection string by using a message server and router string configuration file rather then just entering the connection string on the expert tag. Unfortunately it doesn't make a difference.

Please keep us updated.

HI Rainer,

I have a support message at SAP for more than 6 months now.   Unfortunately, it seems that they are ignoring it.

Hi Yiannis,

I had this situation once, SAP seemed to ignore me. I opened a second message "Message xxx/201x is not processed", complaining about the first message.

This way I was informed that my first message has gone to some development department but not returned with a solution. However, the complaint speed up my first message.

Maybe an alternative for you?

I find it rather annoying to have a proper Eclipse under Linux and not being able to work with it against an SAP system using a router string 😞

Hello,

just to inform you, I have tried the ADT 2.24 version under Mac OS X. We have still the same problem here. It is really annoying that it is not fixed after this very long time. There exists an OSS note with a patch but only for ADT 2.06?!

Hello Andreas,

I can confirm the same is true for Linux. I just upgraded to ADT 2.24 but no improvement.

According to Thomas Fiedler in thread http://scn.sap.com/thread/3451669 it should be fixed with the next patch.

So keep waiting

Rainer

Hi Everyone,

I received a reply from SAP that the issue is solved in patch 2.24.2.  I haven't tried it yet.  Will post the results once I try it out.

Hi, you have to wait for patch 2.24.4. Even 2.24.3 does not work (but the router string is now displayed ) Have a look to http://scn.sap.com/thread/3451669

Best regards

Andreas

I updated to ADT 2.24.5 and now it's working.

I use Kepler under Ubuntu.
