Need Help: SAP GUI restart after press on a customize GUI Status

Hi everyone,

One of the users facing issue on their SAP GUI will restart after they press on a button at customize GUI Status.  The feature of that button is:

  • Update log on ztable
  • get data from smartform submission 
  • send email 

Which part should I start to investigate? This issue seems to something it cannot debug. And this occurs to only a user, and sometimes they work with the program well without faceing sap gui restart. If you have any idea to check, please let me know.

Reinstall SAP GUI latest version (8.xx) on the laptop. If it happens again, start the SAP GUI trace and send the file to the SAP Support for investigation. There is an SAP note which gives the details.
