Multiple sales order picking the same batch

Hi

I hv an issue in which multiple sales orders(coming from inbound idocs) are acting on the same batch even when the batch does'nt have the required quantity . This may be happening because the batch is not locked when a sales order acts on it. Kindly suggest the way of locking the batch in the code . Please reply ASAP
