hi

i want to delete material which is not being used for long time stored in a storage location.

what is the process and is report to delete material based on storage location and plant

Hi.

You cannot just "delete" master data in SAP. The most appropriate process is to "archive" data. This issue must be discussed thoroughly with your MM consultants and BASIS guys.

Hi Chaithu,

Generally we dont delete the material which is not used.

we have a Field LVORM in table MARA. we set the flag value high for the material that is not used. Even though we dont use the material but the material is always stored in SAP for any further verifiaction .

This Flag indicates that the particular material is not used any more.

Field LVORM ---> Flag Material for Deletion at Plant Level

we also have this field LVORM in MARC--->Plant Data for Material

and MARD--->Storage Location Data for Material

so we just set this flag for the materials which we are not using.
