Hi Tomesh,
in Data Migration Concept, first analyse the flat file in source system and target system. Take the corresponding transaction along with fields and program and screen.
at the time of maintianing source fields, check the source fields properly and next check the relation ship of these two structures(source strucutre and target structure). if anything wrong just execute the MAINTAIN SOURCE FIELDS where you can modify or create the fields like field length, type etc.,
Talk with your function people regarding the data and flat file structure and applications.
Next, test with transactions with dummy data first.
If the source structute and target structure is the same, system will conver the data into XYZ.ABC.LSMW.CONV formate. so, you successfully uploaded the data.
As per my knowledge the problem with source sturcte and target structure or flat file problem.

hi,
After defining the structures and fields of the project, you use the field mapping and conversion rules to establish the object dependencies between the project and the SAP system.
Process Flow
The Object overview shows you the expected SAP structures including the associated fields. See Object Overview
You define the structure relationships between the project and the SAP system.
From the list of steps, choose Maintain structure relationships.
You define the field relationships between the project and the SAP system.
From the list of steps, choose Maintain Field Mapping and Conversion Rules.
Result
The relationships between the project and the SAP system have been established. Now, you have to define the conversion rules for data conversion.
