should we set the log on parameters in sending and receiving system in ale?

how to set that?

in sending system we have to create ls name and receiving system we have to create ls name right.

if that client is already having lsname . can we change that name?

iam practising in my laptop only, in that case how can i set another client .but in scc4 transaction it is showing differt clients like 812, 810,800.

how can i work with this .. any body help me pls...

iam just doing the ale configuration now.

Regards,

swathi.

Hi Swathi,

First thing .

1.Please select the partners for communication.Select two clients (e.g 800 and 810).

2.Go to Sale(T code) to create an ALE for both 800 and 810.(e.g S_800 and R_810).

3. In SCC4 assing the logical systems to the respective clients.

i.e (Db on 800 and change the logical system to S_800.Do this for 810 client also.)

4. Create RFC for both S_800 and S_810.

5.Create a port (WE21).

6.Create a partner profile(We20).

Rewards points if useful.

Hi Swathi,

Go to SCC4.

Double click on the client you want to set the logical system name.

Go to change mode and change the logical system name.

Hi swathi,

logical systems are client identities and client independent if u create in 800 client it will reflect in all the clents in the serever.

so create logical systems using bd54 transaction code for each client means from which system to which system ur sending.

then go to transaction code scc4 there u double click on 800 client and go with change mode there u can provide logical system name what u created just noe for 800 client.

then double click on 810 client same thing u follow and assigm client 810 to logical system what u just created for 810.

sivaram.
