Linking table maintainnance to transport request

Former Member

Hi,

I have two questions:

(a) When we do table maintenance by default it will not ask for any transport request when we add new entries. We need to link the maintenance object to transport for that. Any idea how to do that?

(b) How to maintain change logs for a table?

Could someone help?

Thanks,

Mohit

a) Make the maintenance recordable

b) Set the data element flag to "change document"

HI!

You can manually enter the table entries within a transport request.

SE01 transaction - Create(F6) - Worbench - Give a name (ZTABLE contents transport)

Double click on the main request. You'll see a table, here click on the change-display button to modify it.

Program ID: R3TR

Object: TABU

Name: ZTABLE

Double click on the entry, and give * for the table keys, if you want transport everything. Give A* if you wanted to transport entreis, which begins with a letter "A" and so on...

Save, release, transport, enjoy.

Hi,

You can manually include the table entries in the transport request...

For this, select the tranpsort and right click and then select "Include objects", then add the followin details:

Click on tab: Objects

Enter program id : R3TR

Object type : Table contents(I dont remember the object type--F4 on it)

Object name : <Your table name>

Reward if useful
