ldap filter in ERP 7.0 (ABAP)

Hi,

We are trying to pull information from Windows AD into an ERP 7.0 ABAP system. By specifying a filter in the find portion of transaction ldap, we can retrieve exactly what we want. If we use program RSLDAPSYNC_USER, however, it appears to use the default filter, which does not retrieve the appropriate entries.

Does anyone know of a way to specify a filter without going to Java or Portals?

Best regards,

Russ

Hi,

For starters take a look at this link:

http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/eb/0bfa3823e5d841e10000000a11402f/frameset.htm

RSLDAPSYNC_USER requires the field LDAP server to be maintained, and when you maintain this in transaction LDAPMAP you should maintain the mapping and synchronization data for the LDAP server that is specified. This allows you to manage the data that is extracted.

The default mapping proposal delivered for AD does contain quite a number of unnecessary mappings that you can remove if you choose to.
