Is it possible to display a tooltip for ALVGRID cells?

Hi Guys,

Does anyone of you knows if it is possible to display a tooltip for ALVGRID cells?

I have search in differents tutorials and documentation related to ALVGRID and the only thing that I found is the

TOOLTIP attribute of Field catalog that determines the text of the ALVGRID columns and not for the cells.

The output has a grid , for which there are tool tips for even cells.

Hi,

please ignore my previous post, it is possible, the example mentioned by Mr Ravi is in version 5.0, you can check it . That matches exactly your requirement.

Thank you for your prompt answers,

I have checked the program BCALV_DEMO_TOOLTIP

But since I'm still a novice in ABAP it is quite difficult for me to fully understand the sample.

It seems that it is possible to display tooltip only for icons or exceptions am I wrong?
